Hi,

I just wanted to comment that oxidation and glycation are the two main mechanisms involved in cell senescence and damage. L-Carnosine is an aminoacid that reduces glycation.
After my doctor found my A1c (glycated hemoglobin) to be 6.1 and my fasting glucose to be ~100, I tried supplementing with L-Carnosine for a couple of months. When my A1c was measured again, it had dropped to 5.7.
Neither me nor my doctor know if this might prevent diabetes. But we do know it will protect cells from glycation.
